Shri Virbhadra Singh became CM of Himachal for the 6^th time in 2012. He was born on 23rd June 1934 at Sarahan village of HP in District Shimla to late Shri Padam Singh and Smt Shanti Devi. Shri Virbhadra Singh is well qualified CM. He has done B.A. (Hons), M.A. He did his schooling from Bishop Cotton School, Shimla and also studied at St. Stephen College, New Delhi. His constituency is Shimla Rural.

Government Polytechnic College in Kangra HP was established in 1992. Basically it was a Junior Technical School which was set up way back in 1959 by then Punjab Govt. It was in 1992 upgraded into a Polytechnic College.

Government polytechnic College Kanga is one of the reputated institutions in Himachal Pradesh and is continuously, year after year has been able to produce and provide professionally skillful, technically competent, and socially relevant human resources to cater to the industrial requirements.
