Chamunda Mata Temple is located in Kangra District Himachal Pradesh. The famous temple is visited by millions of devotees every year to seek blessings from Goddess Durga, Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham. Chamunda Devi Temple is located about 15 Kms from Dharamshala city, 20 Kms from Palampur, about 20 Kms from Kangra town in Himachal Pradesh. Chamunda devi temple is located on the banks of of Baner river.

You will be delighted to see the view of the giant Dhauladhar range of Himalayas from Chamunda Devi. The amazing snow capped and enchanting mountains, lush green pine trees and Baner Riveret also called as Baner Khad are trully amazing in Chamunda Devi Temple. There is a running water pool inside the temple complex where you will find statues of Lord Shiva and Lions.

Apart from Chamunda Temple you will also find an ancient Lord Shiva Temple inside a cave at Chamunda.

How to Reach Chamunda Devi Temple
Frequent buses after every 15 minutes are available from ISBT bus stand Dharamshala to Chamunda Mata Temple. Buses to Chamunda Devi Temple are also available from Kangra, Palampur and other parts of Himachal. If you are going to Chamunda Devi from Delhi, Chandigarh or Punjab you can take any bus to Kangra or Dharamshala. Chamunda Devi is about 500 Kms from Delhi and takes around 10-12 hours.

Nearest Broadguage railway station from Chamunda Devi Temple is Pathankot around 100 Kms away. Regular HRTC and Punjab Roadways buses are available from Pathankot to Chamunda Devi route.

Toy trains from Pathankot are also available to Kangra and Chamunda. The Chamunda Mandir railway Station is around 5 kms from Chamunda Temple.

How to plan a Trip to Chintpurni - Jawalaji- Kangra Mandir- Chamundaji - Dharamsala
Himachal is also known as Dev Bhoomi or Land of Gods. People from all over the country and abroad visit various religious places in Himachal Pradesh. There are number of famous temples of Goddess Durga in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh where millions of people visit to seek blessings of Goddess Durga. Some of these temples include Chitpurni Devi Temple, Jawalaji Temple, Ma Brajeshwari Temple Kangra, Chamunda Devi.
You can plan your trip as per the below suggestions if you wish to visit all these temples. You need to come to the city beautiful Chandigarh which is connected by rail, air and road from all parts of the country.
 
Day 1
Chandigarh - Jawalaji/ Chintpurni (via Rupnagar-Kirtpur-Una-Chintpurni)
From Chandigarh proceed towards Chintpurni Mata Temple via Nangal and Una. After paying obeisance at Chitpurni Devi you can proceed to Jawalaji. Check in at a hotel preferable HPTDC run Hotel Jwalaji, ADDRESS : Hotel Jwalaji, Jwalamukhi (H.P.) - 176031. Tel: (01970) - 222280, 222801  
In the evening visit famous Jawalaji Temple during Arti time which is worth seeing. Dinner and night stay at Hotel jawalaji.
Day 2
Jawalaji –Dharamsala
Next morning after breakfast you can proceed towards Dharamsala via Kangra.  On way visit famous Brijeshwari Devi Temple at Kangra and famous Chamundaji Temple at Chamundaji to pay obeisance to the Goddesses. Lunch at Yatri Niwas, Chamundaji and proceed to Dharamsala. Evening tea, dinner and night stay at Hotel Kunal, Dharamsala.
 
Day 3
After breakfast proceed to Mecleodganj. Visit Tibetan Monastery, Dal Lake and Bhagsu nag Temple. Trekking around Mcleodganj. Lunch, evening tea at Hotel Bhagsu. Dinner and night stay at Hotel Kunal, Dharamsala.
Day 4
Dharamsala -Chandigarh( Via Chintpurni-Una-Kirtpur-Rupnagar)
After breakfast proceed to Chandigarh
